Inexpensive Boston Fall Fun

Boston foliage
September is almost over and we've sadly reached the end of the summer weather too. Luckily, before the cold of winter hits us, we have the gorgeous Boston fall season to enjoy. If you are saving up to buy a home in Boston, MA you may have tightened the reins on your budget. There is still plenty to do around Boston that is cheap or free and lots of fun for all. Here's a list of fall fun that won't break the bank.

Fall Foliage. Soon the changing leaves will be all around us and one of the best spots to enjoy the changing colors is at the Arnold Arboretum. Enjoy a peaceful walk around Harvard’s Arnold Arboretum with your friends or family. The park is 281 acres and is open from sunup to sundown every day. 125 Arborway, Boston.

Free Museum passes. If you are a cardholder at the Boston Public Library you can enjoy free passes to several of Boston’s museums, including the New England Aquarium and Museum of Science.  The cooler weather is the perfect time to visit!

Beer. There are a few breweries in town, most famous being Samuel Adams Brewery in Jamaica Plain. Take a free tour Monday through Saturday. If you aren't a fan of Sam Adams try Harpoon Brewery for a tour and beer tastings. The tour is $5 and tastings are free.

Go for a Bike Ride. Work off some of that beer and take in the sights of Boston from your bike along the Charles River and Esplanade or get your blood pumping with a solo ride around the city.

I hope you enjoy this fine fall season as much as I do. If you are looking to buy a home in Boston, please give a contact a Boston real estate agent. I can help you find the perfect home in a great neighborhood. I hope to speak with you soon!
