Boston, MA – What to do in all this snow?

snow
The sixth largest snowstorm in Boston, MA is in the books at 23.3 inches of new snow. The major snow just wrapped up and we are expected to get more snow in a few days. What is a Bostonian to do in this winter wonderland? There is plenty of fun to be had in Boston, MA and the surrounding communities.

Sledding. The snow has settled and its time to get out there and hit the slopes. Boston Magazine has a list of the best snow hills in Boston, MA. One of the best hills to hit is Flagstaff Hill in Boston Common. It offers plenty of space and is centrally located for you to get to without digging out your car. One of the most popular spots in Brookline is at Larz Anderson Park – it's hills of all sizes and inclines will delight all ages.

Snow Tubing. Once the streets are fully cleared and you are able to get your car out and about a trip to one of the local snow tubing hills is fun for all ages. Snow tubing is a jazzed-up version of the old snow saucers and requires no skill, like skiing. Local ski areas and tubing centers offer chutes, lifts and sometimes night tubing. Make sure to call ahead for conditions and tube rental availability. Visit Massachusetts has a full list of the available tubing in Boston, MA.

Stay in. Not feeling like braving the cold and snow, but, getting bored of hanging around the house? Apartment Therapy has a list of 10 things to do around the house when you're snowed in. Plenty of ideas for sprucing up your Boston, MA home – my favorite is rearranging a room. Once you make a change you might wonder how you lived with the room set up the way it was before.

Stay warm this winter while enjoying all that our fine city has to offer.
